The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office and SPCA are asking for your help finding the person responsible for a case of animal cruelty. A county water employee found a tied-off bloody pillowcase with a severely injured cat inside as he was taking samples on Factory Avenue in Mattydale. The cat was taken to the Beaver Lake Animal Hospital for emergency surgery.

The SPCA is offering a thousand dollar reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the injury and abandonment of the cat. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's office at (315) 425-2111 or the SPCA at (315) 454-3469.
