Patricia Adkisson, the puppy miller whose Lyles, TN mill was shown on the Dateline broadcast on May 10, 2000, was arrested again on July 12, 2000 ... this time for having 164 dogs in her home, many without food and water.

At the conclusion of her puppy mill trial in January of this year, Adkisson had been sentenced to 3 consecutive sentences of 11 months 29 days jail (suspended); 3 consecutive sentences of 11 months 29 days probation with stipulation that she can not own dogs or "any animal that could fit in a cage" for 5 years unless she agrees in writing to subject herself to Humane Society supervision and gives the Humane Society the right to go anywhere on her property (except in her house) at any time without notice; and a $3,000 fine.

Adkisson is now charged both with 164 counts of animal cruelty and with violating her probation. Eleven of the dogs were very sick and were taken to the vet. The rest are still on her property because the Humane Shelter has nowhere to house them.
