Grand Bay, AL (US)

Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

Patch has been reunited with her sister after nearly dying when her throat was slashed. The two were found wandering down Potter Tract Road in Grand Bay. Patch was bleeding from the neck. Sherry Hance with the Animal Rescue Foundation says someone was trying to kill her.

"It was a jagged cut from one side to the other. They were probably going for the jugular vein to make her bleed to death."

The 6 month old pit bull pup lost 2 pints of blood and needed more than 40 stitches. Sherry says they need the public's help. "Someone knows something and they need to come forward and tell us so we can find out who did this! So we can stop this!"

The Animal Rescue Foundation is offering a 500 dollar reward for information in this case. They also want to get Patch and her sister adopted together in about three weeks when Patch is doing better. If you can help, call ARF at (251) 478-9743.
