Timothy Connor of Marshfield, Massachusetts, faces cruelty animal charges for allegedly leaving ten animals in a hot pickup cap while he visited the Mohegan Sun Casino.

The animals left in the sweltering truck were seven adult geese and three young guinea pigs in wooden crates. The animals were left in the truck for more than 14 hours on Tuesday. The temperature inside the truck's cap was 130 degrees.

The Connecticut Humane Society rescued and treated the animals. They are now up for adoption.

The district manager for the Humane Society, Dianne Swan, said the geese were "panting profusely" when they came in and were immediately put in a pool of water to cool them off.

On Tuesday Connor was released Tuesday on a $2,000 bond. He will appear in Norwich Superior Court on August 2.
