Police are trying to find the suspect in a case of animal cruelty that left one puppy dead and five severely malnourished. Police said it happened at a mobile home in Highland Woods off Quacco Road in Savannah. A police report says the puppies were found by the owners on the afternoon of Feb 19, 2006.

The owners said they had gone to check on the home they were renting to a tenant when they found the puppies locked in a room.

The property manager said the suspect, Kathy Lynn Hamilton, was evicted in Jan 2006.
