Lubbock Animal Services is investigating a case of animal cruelty following a gruesome discovery in South Lubbock. The cat was found in the 9100 block of Avenue W. Investigators are trying to determine who is responsible for its death. Fred Sanderson with Lubbock Animal Services says, "We'd like for anybody that might have information to call us at the Animal Services Center. Let us investigate for cruelty to animals."

Animal cruelty is a felony offense in Texas. If you have any information that could help Lubbock Animal Services, you are asked to call (806) 775-2057.
