Alleged: Jeff Peasley

A cat in Green Township, Ohio, survived after being stabbed with an 8-inch knife in the skull.

Police believe Jeff Peasley visited the home of an acquaintance Feb 5th and for some unknown reason attacked the 7-pound cat named Princess.  Princess was rushed to a local animal hospital for treatment.

"The blade penetrated the skull of the cat at this location (top of head) and it went down into an area called the frontal sinus," veterinarian Dr. Terry White said. "Probably what saved the cat's life was an angel's hand upon this knife because literally if he had been just a slight bit farther back this cat would probably not be alive."

Police are now searching for Peasley on charges of aggravated menacing and cruelty to animals.
