When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.

Donna Pfeiffer, 39, of Wappinger has been placed on probation for three years for the beating death of the family dog.
Pfeiffer said during her sentencing in the county courthouse in Poughkeepsie, "I apologize to my kids, my family."
Donna Pfeiffer admitted she killed their dog, Barnaby, a long-haired dachshund in her home on Oct 30, 2002. The killing occurred after an argument with her husband. Pfeiffer entered a guilty plea for torturing and injuring an animal, which is a misdemeanor of the state Agriculture and Markets Law. References |
