The Arizona Humane Society and the Phoenix Police Department are investigating a cat hanging. The cat was found at a residence in the 25-hundred block of West Mulberry between Indian School and Thomas in West Phoenix.

The Humane Society says the cat was hanging from a tree by a clothesline.

The cat was deceased. It apparently had been hanging in the tree for two hours.

Phoenix Police are conducting interviews.

The Humane Society says it's offering up to five-thousand dollars reward money for an arrest or indictment in the case.
