The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for shooting animals with arrows in the Banner area of Julian, Calif.
According to news reports, two animals have been injured by arrows near the Banner Recreation Ranch. The first animal, a cat, was shot last September and the second, a raccoon, was shot on January 3. Both animals survived the attacks. Police believe that a crossbow or a crossbow pistol was used, and the shootings were intentional.
