Dog poisoned Desert Hot Springs, CA (US)Incident Date: Monday, Jan 30, 2006 County: Riverside
Disposition: Open
Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!
Foxey, the Pomeranian belonging to Desert Hot Springs Mayor Alex Bias, is set to come home today. Bias was on his way to the veterinarian in Fountain Valley - where the pooch has been for about a week - to pick up the dog.
"I could have bought 10 of her for what I'm paying" for her care, he said.
The pooch was poisoned late last month. Bias believes it was done intentionally.
The vet, however, was unable to determine exactly what poisoned the dog. But Bias said the veterinarian told him it was probably a non-naturally occurring toxin.
"I'll be able to have my little fuzzy friend again to help me through these perilous times as mayor of Desert Hot Springs." References« CA State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Riverside County, CA
