A $2,500 reward is being offered by The Humane Society for any information on the person who allowed a dog to starve to death in the Interbay area of Seattle.
The dog, an emaciated tan and white pit bull with a silver pinch collar around its neck, was found dead on January 24, 2006 on Thorndyke Avenue West. Animal Control officers said the dog appeared to have been starved, kept inside a residence and then dumped just before or after its death.
"This is a tragic and unfortunate incident," Seattle Animal Shelter Director Don Jordan. "This dog clearly suffered tremendously prior to its death." The $2,500 reward is being offered for information that results in an arrest and conviction. Anyone who has information can contact the Seattle Animal Shelter at 386-7387, ext. 2. If you have information on this case, please contact: Seattle Animal Shelter 386-7387 ext. 2
