Case Updates

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for drowning two pit bulls in Lake Swoope Park last month. According to The Ledger, two deceased pit bulls were discovered in Lake Swoope Park on January 27 by park and recreation employees. The dogs were found in the lake with a rope attached to concrete blocks tied around their necks. Investigators believe they were thrown off of a nearby dock and into the lake and may have been in the lake for approximately two days before they were discovered. One of the dogs was brown in color and was wearing a collar without a tag. The other dog was brown and white.
