A good samaritan found a one year old boxer tied to a tree and starved almost to death. 'Ghost' is a sack of bones. The Caloosa Humane Society named him Ghost because when he arrived five months ago, he was just a ghost of himself. Plus, his tongue and gums were white from malnutrition. Ghost was found tied to a tree in LaBelle and taken to the Humane Society. Since he hasnt been adopted, the Humane Society of Collier County stepped in and took him to Naples. "He deserves to get a good home, he's been waiting a long time," said Simonik.
When Ghost arrived at the Humane Society, he weighed only 27 pounds. Right now he's at 53, but he still needs to gain another 20 before he's completely healthy.
If you would like to adopt Ghost, you can call the Collier County Humane Society at 643-1555. References« FL State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Hendry County, FL
