A man who allegedly shot a neighbor's dog with a BB gun in Orick on January 22, 2006 is scheduled to be in court Jan. 27, 2006, to face a charge of cruelty to an animal.
The Humboldt County Sheriff's Department said a deputy was called to the home where "multiple" witnesses accused Lawrence Netz of shooting his neighbor's dog, Biscuit, with a BB gun. There are conflicting statements as to how Biscuit ended up in Netz's yard. According to the police, Netz alleges the dog killed one of his rabbits.
