A man who allegedly shot a neighbor's dog with a BB gun in Orick on January 22, 2006 is scheduled to be in court Jan. 27, 2006, to face a charge of cruelty to an animal.
The Humboldt County Sheriff's Department said a deputy was called to the home where �multiple� witnesses accused Lawrence Netz of shooting his neighbor's dog, Biscuit, with a BB gun. There are conflicting statements as to how Biscuit ended up in Netz's yard. According to the police, Netz alleges the dog killed one of his rabbits.
Though a photo of Biscuit shows what looks like two wounds on the dog's back, the Sheriff's Department says the dog was hit once and is waiting for more information on other injuries.
