According to the Springfield Police Blotter, on January 6, 2006, at 4:56 p.m., 4000 block C St., a concerned neighbor reported that two 13-year-old boys shot an opossum with an air gun. The animal was caged when police arrived. Officers seized the air gun and told the boys it would be destroyed.
