Gunner, a family's German Shepherd, was allegedly shot by an off-duty police officer. The dog, who underwent life-saving surgery, had two gun wounds from a .38 caliber pistol in his stomach and five in his small intestine. Sheriff is investigating whether the deputy did anything illegal and whether he used his service weapon.
