George Bruce's dog "Bear", a black lab, was deliberately shot with a nail gun. "That dog is not going to hurt anybody. It's really happy go lucky," owner George Bruce said. But these days -- "bear" is timid and fearful. The sudden personality change is a result of a nail-gun attack.
Bruce knows something about nail guns -- he's a framer -- and quickly recognized the "ammunition" used to wound his black lab. "Just imagine having a 16-gauge nail lodged in your shoulder all night," he said. Bear escaped from his fenced yard late Friday. And returned with a nail penetrating his skin. Based on the wound this pet owner believes the shooting was deliberate. "There's no way it was an accident," he said. George says with the recent ice storm, there is lots of construction going around his neighborhood. But he has no leads into Bear's attack. If you have an information about the attack -- contact the animal shelter or the Oklahoma City Police Department. References « More cases in Oklahoma County, OK
