Police have handed over an alleged case of animal neglect to The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for investigation and follow up.
Fifty carcasses - a number flyblown - were discovered amongst 700 head of sheep on a Rivers Rd property, with no water supplied to the paddock.
Officers first begun their investigation on the last weekend on November 2005, before handing it over the RSPCA.
A 52 year old Canowindra man is involved in the inquiries.
