In September 2005, a year and a half old dog was being housed by a local rescue shelter. When he left for the shelter, he weighed 125 lbs. In December 2005, the dog was brought to a veterinarian weighing 80 lbs.

Allegedly, while at the rescue shelter, the dog was kept chained outside to a block building and apparently fed very little food. The rescue shelter owner claims she fed the dog twice daily.

Upon arrival at the vet clinic, a vet tech stated "He was having seizures upon arrival. I took him into the clinic where it took 3 Veterinarians and 4 Vet Techs to help keep this poor dog alive. His glucose was 39 (supposed to be over 200), his temperature was so low it would not register on a
thermometer. He was hypothermic, it took 1 1/2 hours to get his temperature to 92 degrees with body heaters, warmed IV fluids and heated blankets."

The dog, named Justice, is now being housed at another rescue shelter receiving small amounts of food every two hours to adjust his system back to eating properly.

This rescue shelter is requesting donations for assistance in Justice's recovery.
