Police are investigating the shootings of two dogs on the rural property of a Shelby County man. The landowner, James Chappella, said he found his two dogs bleeding from gunshot wounds on his lawn when he returned home. The dogs underwent surgery, and are recovering. One dog was shot six times; the other once. Chappella said that after he saw his injured dogs, he heard gunshots coming from the woods behind his home, which is near Shelbyville. "It wasn't like it was across the field or anything. (The shots were) definitely in our woods," Chappella said.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Department said it interviewed a teen who said he was shooting in the area that day, but no arrests have been made. References« Back to Search Results
