On December 4, 2005, Larry Lucci was arrested, accused of shooting and killing his neighbor's dogs. Deputies said Larry Lucci admitted that he shot the two Boston terriers with a shotgun outside a home on Georgia Street.

Lucci told deputies he was afraid the dogs would attack him. He's been charged with animal cruelty and is at the Lake County jail on $4,500 bond.
