The Gage County Sheriff�s Office cited one man who they say shot a dog and left in a field near 94th and Cherry Road.

Deputy Jeremy Wach said they took a report Nov. 22 about a black lab dog shot by deer hunters.
The investigation led them to 30-year-old Jerry Larmeu Jr. of Beatrice, whom they cited recently for animal cruelty.

Wach said the dog was not Larmeu�s, and the shooting was not believed to be accidental.
