Donna Bosse, 50, was charged with animal cruelty, a felony.  Inside her home they discovered three dead pupppies in a food cooler and 24 living dogs. All the dogs were malnourished.

Bosse's neighbor smelt a horrible stench and was curious where it was coming from, so her children climbled a privacy fence and peered into Bosse's yard.  They saw two dead dogs which had starved to death. Bosse said she did not have the time to care for the dogs.  The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals took custody of the living dogs, mostly mixed chow breds.
