Authorities confiscated nine pit bulls and illegal drugs from a Wheat Ridge home this week and arrested three people. Four adult dogs and five puppies were severely emaciated and neglected. Officer also seized three ounces of cocaine, marijuana plants and a gun from the home. A veterinary clinic called the Denver Dumb Friends Leage to say it was treating an injured pit bull mix that appeared to have been abused and neglected. Three people were arrested including Raymond Peinado, 32 who lived at the home and was wanted on failure to appear warrants.
