In February 1997, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Sun Jet International Airlines of Clearwater, Fla., agreed to a consent decision and order regarding violations of the Animal Welfare Act.

Sun Jet International Airlines neither admitted nor denied any violations of the AWA, but agreed to pay a civil penalty of $5,000.
