The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently charged Montgomery, Texas, animal dealer Brian Neely, doing business as Texotics, with violations of the Animal Welfare Act.
"Brian Neely was operating without a license, outside of the law," said W. Ron DeHaven, deputy administrator for animal care with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, a part of USDA's marketing and regulatory programs mission area. "APHIS inspectors found that Neely sold animals for regulated purposes on at least two occasions in direct violation of the AWA."
