Disposition: Alleged
Alleged: David McDonald
A 24-year-old Bronx man was arrested on Oct 31 and charged with animal cruelty after ASPCA officers found two emaciated young Rottweilers in his home. Humane law enforcement agents went to David McDonald's apartment off the Cross Bronx Expressway on Oct. 10 after receiving an anonymous tip. The year-old dogs were jammed into one cage and covered with feces and urine, according to ASPCA Special Agent Joseph Pentangelo.
The dogs, a male named Smoke and a female named Moet, were brought to the ASPCA hospital and treated.
"After six days, each had gained 12 pounds," Pentangelo said.
McDonald was charged with two counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty. He faces up to a year in jail on each count if convicted. References« NY State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Bronx County, NY
