A vicious dog attack leaves a kitten dead and a Caddo Parish teenager behind bars. Investigators say the teen instigated the attack.

Two pitbulls are said to have attacked and killed a kitten on the morning of Oct 27. The dogs' owner, a 14-year old boy from Vivian is in custody charged with aggravated cruelty.

Wayne Robinson, a neighbor, says the 14-year old intentionally took the two dogs into a yard belonging to Mrs Shirley's Plush Puppy Pet Salon. The kitten was lying near the building.

Robinson says he chased the teenager off and notified the homeowner. Police showed up a short time later and arrested the 14-year old. The dogs were taken to Caddo Animal control. Authorities put one down almost immediately saying it showed extremely vicious behavior. The other is being contained pending the investigation.

Rick Quillen with Animal Control says the 14-year old has been taken into juvenile custody. He's not yet appeared before a judge.
