Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!
BC SPCA cruelty officers are seeking the public's help in finding the person responsible for the brutal killing of a family pet in East Vancouver on May 9th. The 11-year old Rottweiler was found dead in his kennel in the yard of his home in the 6400 of Doman Street, near 49th Avenue and Boundary.
"We were called to attend the scene after a neighbour saw the dog and thought his throat had been cut because of the blood. When our officer arrived he discovered the animal had been shot and killed with a shotgun," says Eileen Drever. "The owner of the dog is devastated and has no idea who could have done this to his pet." Drever says the SPCA has recovered a number of shot gun pellets which are being held as evidence and is asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything related to this crime to please call the BC SPCA Cruelty Department at 604-709-4670.
