A tip led Houston police to a disturbing discovery inside a northeast Harris County home. According to investigators, the suspect had bragged to a friend about stealing a truck. When officers checked it out at the home on Ridgedale near Homestead, they found the truck along with a severely malnourished pit bull.

Animal control officials are now taking care of the dog. Police are questioning the dog's owner.
