David Abrams, 21, 5205 W. Prairiewood, was arrested on October 15 on preliminary charges that included resisting law enforcement, a class A felony, and the suspected possession of a fighting dog, a class D felony. The dog, a pit bull, was found with scars - some recent - on its face, head and chest and was taken into custody by animal control.

At the time of the arrest, Abrams was wanted on a series of warrants that included two for failure to appear, one for resisting law enforcement and one for possession of cocaine. He remained in the Delaware County jail late Sunday under a $7,500 bond.
