Police in Palm Bay, Fla., are searching for apparent poachers after five dead alligators were found on a road without tails. Investigators said it appeared the animal's tails had been cut off.

There are no homes in the area but the alligator's remains could be seen by drivers on the road.

Florida Fish and Wildlife officers are investigating the discovery.
