Syracuse Police say 45-year-old Johnny Davis got into an argument with his girlfriends son, 21-year-old Christopher Bryant at his E. Fayette St. home late Saturday. Davis left, but allegedly came back later with a golf club and a knife. Police say Davis stabbed Bryant in the neck and chest, then stabbed the Bryants dog in the chest. Bryant underwent emergency surgery to repair an airway and is in critical condition at University Hospital. The dog is recovering at an animal hospital and is expected to survive. Davis is charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and aggravated animal cruelty.
