Detectives say someone has been shooting and kiling goats near Holley, in Linn County.

Randy Schoonover said he has no idea why someone would kill his South African boar goats. At first, he thought it was a random event, but it happened back in August and again in early October.

"We've lost 13 goats in a little over a month," he said. "We're pretty concerned that this is somebody that may come back and try to kill the rest of our goats."

With few clues and no eyewitnesses, detectives are just as baffled as the goats' owners.

There is a $3000 reward being offered for information that leads to an arrest or conviction in the case. Any one who may have tips for police is urged to call 1-866-557-9988.
