The severed head of a black dog was left near an Anderson County woman's Laurel Road driveway, the woman told Anderson County Deputy B.E. Rice on Aug 12. Earlier in the week, the woman said her cat had been poisoned, Rice reported. The county's animal control officer is investigating the complaints, Rice said.
