Robbery detectives are on the lookout for a suspect they say shot two individuals and a dog during a brazen home invasion robbery early morning on Aug 29.

Broward sheriffs detectives said Tavaris Davon Davis, 27, stormed into an apartment on N.W. 26th Ave. near Fort Lauderdale around 3:30 a.m. and opened fire. The apartment was occupied by Neville Magnus, 25; Krystal Whitt, 20; and 27-year-old Nordam Blair.

One round grazed Whitt's face, and Magnus was hit several times. Deputies said that Davis then turned and shot Blair's pit bull in the left leg before demanding cash.

Blair said she feared for her life, so she gave Davis money.

Detectives said that Davis then fled the scene in a black four-door Nissan Maxima.

Magnus was transported to Broward General Medical Center, where he underwent surgery. He is expected to recover. Whitt was treated at the scene.

Anyone with information regarding Davis whereabouts is asked to contact Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (954) 493-TIPS.

Once arrested, Davis will be charged with armed robbery with a firearm, armed burglary with a firearm, attempted murder and cruelty to an animal.
