An Eastside dog owner pleaded guilty to 21 counts of animal cruelty on Aug 8, 2005 in connection with 26 dogs prosecutors say were living in filth.
James Hill, 49, could face up to 545 days in jail and 200 hours of community service, said Roger Rayl, a spokesman for the Marion County Prosecutor�s Office. Superior Court Judge Linda Brown will sentence Hill on Aug. 29.
On Aug. 12, 2004, Marion County animal control officers siezed 26 dogs from a home Hill owns in the 3100 block of North Gale Street.
The 20 pitbulls, two Mastiffs, two German Shepherds and two Boxer puppies were found to be living in filth, according to court records. Many were kept in cages littered with fecal matter and without food or water. References« Back to Search Results
