Defendant/Suspect: Jason Temple
A pregnant female beagle, named "Sallie", was found emaciated, lethargic and suffering from hair loss due to sarcoptic mange at a residence on Groome Rd. Also found was "Rock", a male beagle that was found with half of one ear bitten off, and the other and his muzzle severely bitten. The animals were seized from owner Jason Temple. For Sallie, he was fined $2,500 and 12 months in jail suspended, in additon to 80 hours of community service. For Rock, he was found guilty and fined $500 plus court costs.
According to reports, Temple's explaination was "They're just hunting dogs".
