Gary McCabe, 19, was sentenced to nine months in prison for attacking a cat with a stun gun as well as other charges. The attack took place at an apartment during a party being held in March of 1996.
Police were called to the party because of the noise. The police hauled the man who owned the apartment away.
Then, McCabe and others allegedly went through the man's belongings and found a stun gun.
McCabe reportedly went after the cat in the apartment with the electric shock device and the cat's attack was recorded on an answering machine tape.
He was also sentenced on an unrelated charge of risk of injury to a minor for giving marijuana to two teen age girls. References- Associated Press - July 1, 1997
