Alvin Maset, 70, Sunshine Key Camping Resort was arrested for allegedly trapping a cat in a wire cage and putting the cage in the water until the cat drowned.

Witnesses said Maset used cat food and a wire cage to trap a young cat, drove the cage to the water's edge, put the cage in the water and held it there until the cat died. The witnesses said Maset then disposed of the cat's body in a dumpster.

Maset has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty.
