A Chautauqua County couple was charged July 13 with cruelty to animals for their alleged illegal activity involving 117 miniature and toy poodles, State Police and the Chautauqua County Humane Society announced.
The identities of the Town of Mina couple were not released by authorities. They were charged with a misdemeanor count of cruelty.
Police said the dogs were taken to the Humane Society Thursday. Officials said the animals were evaluated by a veterinarian and were undergoing additional medical evaluations. Case Updates117 toy and miniature poodles rescued from a Chautauqua County home are now ready for adoption.
If you would like to adopt one of the poodles you can go to the Chautauqua County Humane Society at 2825 Strunk Road in Jamestown. The adoption center is open from 12p-5pm Thursday and Friday. They will be open Saturday from 12pm to 5pm and Sunday from 12pm to 4pm. | |
