Abuser names unreleased
Investigation continues into the discovery of 26 dehydrated and malnourished dogs seized from a Sunshine-area property west of Thunder Bay. Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals inspectors and agents, assisted by provincial police officers, removed the animals June 18. OSPCA officials came from Sudbury, Terrace Bay, Kenora and Thunder Bay.
The dogs have been examined by a veterinarian and are still being bathed and shaved, humane society board member Judy Dicicco said.
She said four of the animals are boarded at the humane society shelter on Rosslyn Road while the others are being kept at Tripaway kennels on Gratton Road.
