Dennis Obrill, 28, of Prosser has been cited for animal cruelty for shooting a cat with four blow darts. The cat had to be destroyed after being shot by at least four darts.

A neighbor called 911 regarding the shooting of the cat.

Benton County Undersheriff Jerry Hatcher said, "I don't understand how anyone could do something like this."

The case has been sent to the Benton County prosecutor's office.
