Pamela Schirmuhly and her son Theodore were arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.

Investigators found four emaciated cats, several cat carcasses, and a dead dog in a home at 794 Chili Avenue. One cat had to be put to sleep. Officials say the animals appear to have been left to starve. The three remaining cats are being cared for at the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm.
