A Queens father alledgely bashed a 6-month-old puppy with an iron chair after his son brought it home without asking permission, authorities said.

"Take this dog out of here!" Caswell Blake, 51, demanded after confronting his son about the pit bull puppy, his wife said.

When Blake's 23-year-old son refused, the St. Albans tailor allegedly went berserk.

"He grabbed the closest thing to his hand. It was the chair, and he hit the dog," said Blake's wife, Marjorie, 51. "He said he had to hit the dog because it bit at him."

The chair gashed one of the dog's back paws, causing it to bleed heavily in the backyard of the Merrill St. home.

Marjorie Blake said her husband felt bad after hitting the pooch and brought it water. But another family member called the ASPCA, which took the animal and pressed charges.

The puppy had lost so much blood in the attack that it was anemic, said ASPCA Special Agent Joseph Pentangelo.

Caswell Blake was charged with felony animal abuse and criminal possession of a weapon for severely injuring the puppy June 1, authorities said.

The puppy, now named Baisley, will be placed in another home, Pentangelo said.

Blake's son had gotten the dog from a neighbor, Al Page, who said he gave away the pooch because his 10-year-old son wasn't doing a good job of caring for it.
