Jared Miller, 18, was sentenced by Judge Michael Burkett of Fremond Municipal Court to 90 days in jail and fined $750 which is the maximum penalty. Miller pleaded no contest to a charge of cruelty to animals for killing the cat.
He was convicted of choking a cat to death and leaving its carcass under the windshield wipers of a neighbor's car.
Miller told police he was intoxicated when the incident happened on Aug 25. He said he threw the cat after being bitten but did not remember choking the cat. References | The Toledo Blade - Sept 6, 2001 |
