Cat shot and left for dead
Fall Creek, OR (US)

Incident Date: Wednesday, Apr 27, 2005
County: Lane

Disposition: Alleged
Case Images: 2 files available

Alleged: Name Unknown

A cat that had been shot twice and left for dead is recovering from its wounds.

Fall Creek resident Brooks Fahy found the injured cat on his property two weeks ago, its left rear leg shattered and bloody. Fahy rushed the cat, which he believes had been dumped off in the
neighborhood months before by a negligent owner, to CatCare Limited, a veterinary clinic in downtown Eugene.

A woman in Fall Creek admits firing a .22 in the vicinity of a cat matching his description, but she contends that the cat stalked her chickens and she fired a warning shot into the ground,
not at it, Perkins said.
