The tenant, Zacchaeus Demetrius Mondy, 28, was arrested in connection with a variety of charges, including drug possession, firearm offenses, and cruelty to animals, said Titusville Police Detective Victor Rodriguez. The home was condemned, and the animals were turned over to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Rodriguez stated.

Mondy was booked at Brevard County jail on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm (a .38-caliber handgun), possession of a concealed weapon (brass knuckles) and 14 counts of cruelty to animals.
