Comal County sheriff's investigators are looking into an animal cruelty case involving a cat that was killed with a bow and arrow. Donna Jackson, of Spring Branch, recently found her 2-year-old cat Rascal impaled with an arrow. The cat had to be euthanized.

"I just don't understand it," Jackson said. "I just can't find any justification."

Diron Wunderlick, the veterinarian who treated Rascal, said based on the entry wound, he is certain the incident was no accident.

"It definitely was intentional," he said. "There was no aspect there to say this is an accidental shooting."

Anyone with information on the cat killing is urged to contact the Comal County Sheriff's Office at (830) 620-3417.
